The Milos Armchair inspired by Cycladic architecture specific to the Greek islands, well known for its simple and elegant shapes. Alexis Christodoulou makes almost immediately a connection between the warmth and fluidity of the Greek island architecture and the futuristic aesthetic by using metal sheets to shape Milos. His work is always playing with people memories involving them in an eternal summer offering an atmosphere of peace and quietness.

«These series of digital spaces has been developed for presenting the furniture I created. Initially, I've created just a n armchair but decided to go further and create some more types of furniture in the same style. They are a bit clumsy, disproportional, big, shaggy and I did it on purpose because I think there is something in it. I had been thinking how to present it, in what kind of interior or maybe in the wild with greening at the background, but finally decided to focus only on shapes, lighting and composition not thinking about room logic which the furniture is in. I wanted to create an atmosphere where Yeti would feel at home, that's why after going through a lot of room color layouts I stopped at pink colors shades and highlight the furniture just by effects of light and shade».

Sunball Chair for Rosenthal, 1960s
This is a fully restored original version of this 1960's iconic classic outdoor swivel chair. As you can imagine, after 60 plus years, the original finish had become matte and somewhat discoloured, so it has had a complete respray, the upholstery has been replaced with a very similar elephant cord velour fabric in orange.
For those who haven't seen one before, the seat can be placed in the upright position for two people to comfortably sit in sofa type position, or folded out into more of a super comfy double sun lounger. The visors can be adjusted to form a sun shade for the eyes or left fully open, and closed only when the sun disappeared for the night.
